Bar Harbor Rentals - Autumn in Bar Harbor, Maine is the most spectacular season of the year. Luminous shades of red, orange, yellow, and brown replace the greens of summer as crowds dwindle and everything on the island gets a little less hurried. Take a day for a hike in Acadia National Park where you can sit upon a rocky mountain trail on a sunny and clear-blue day and eat lunch while enjoying the endless view of the ocean and islands of the Maine coast. Take a scenic drive and watch the goings-on of fishermen and boaters about their daily chores. Activity in Bar Harbor continues through mid-October with far less rush than the summer months. Our rentals are available throughout the year for those who want to experience a quieter time on the coast in Bar Harbor.

At night, walk upon our deck, in a warm cotton sweater, and look above for hours. Stars shine from above on crisp, cool nights. There is solitude and peace here. This is the way Nature ought to be seen - uncluttered and unmasked from the rush of daily lives and bright lights of cities. Come experience autumn at Summertime.

Spend Thanksgiving or Christmas at “Summertime” in Bar Harbor; or any other days you feel like making Your Own Holiday. Cozy in with an enjoyable book and good food, or take a walk on one of Rockefeller's many carriage trails, within minutes of your winter hideaway. Bring skis, skates, snowshoes, or take a drive around the island viewing all of its natural beauty. College students are welcome.
