CHECK OUT (Please note: failure to perform these tasks could result in a partial forfeiture of your security deposit or additional charges)

  1. Please strip beds and place all towels and linens in the bathroom. This will assist cleaning crew in preparing the cottage for next guests (it’s a small window of time between guests)!

  2. Be sure gas BBQ grill is turned off. Please note to cleaning crew or leave a message if one of the tanks is empty. Also, please clean grill after last use.

  3. Please make a list of any broken or damaged household items and leave for cleaning crew.

  4. Remove any trash from outdoor property.

  5. Dispose of all perishable foods (please clean out refrigerator) - garbage must be placed in plastic bags and put into the grey garbage bin before 10am Saturday.

  6. Put any dirty dishes in the dishwasher and start the cycle.

  7. Have a safe trip home!

HOUSE RULES

It is our hope that you enjoy all of the facilities, and preserve them for the next guest. It is our goal to make every guest comfortable, and the cottage a great place to return to. Please regard the following rules/instructions:

  1. NO SMOKING in the house at anytime. Feel free to do so outdoors (but please properly dispose of ‘butts’)

  2. NO OUTDOOR CAMP FIRES OR FIRES OF ANY SORT: VIOLATION OF TOWN CODE (BBQs are OK)

  3. Quiet hours are from 10:00 pm to 8:00 am

  4. Please keep furnishings free from stains and other damage

  5. Do not leave water running in faucets or outside hose (Maine has had droughts, and wells can run dry!)

  6. Do not flush any non-paper products or sanitary products down toilets

  7. Do not dump any grease down the drains in the kitchen please!

  8. Do not leave heated BBQ unattended

  9. Please dispose of trash on Saturday morning. Garbage must be placed in plastic bags and put into the grey garbage bin before 10am.

PET RULES

  1. ALWAYS keep your pet on a leash outdoors (there are wild animals in the area that could cause harm to your pet)

  2. NEVER leave your pet unattended or alone outdoors (there are wild animals in the area that could cause harm to your pet)

  3. DO NOT allow pets up on furniture

  4. Please pay attention to any flea or tick acquisitions

  5. Please clean up after your pet if his “business” is done in any open, visible areas, near the house, or on any walking paths

  6. When walking off the property onto the road you should use a leash

WILDLIFE

Wildlife to keep an eye open for are fox, deer are plentiful, as are raccoons, squirrels, rabbits, chipmunks, wild turkeys, and many amazing birds. However, we’re not sure any of these animals are people-friendly! Please use caution when communing. Please keep lids on garbage cans and keep doors to the house closed so the wildlife stays outside of the house!
